Weingarten Rights You have a right to have union representation with you at any meeting with an administrator. The role of the rep is as a witness and note taker. If you find yourself in a meeting and wishing a rep was present, you have the right to let the administrator know that the meeting will stop until a rep is available.

Did you know? Two days are allowed annually for teachers as "personal days" with the understanding that they cannot be used for vacation or vacation-like activities. You DO NOT need to give a reason for taking the personal day - even if asked by an administrator. Your reply should be: "My request for the personal day on ____ meets the language in my contract - Article 14 Section B1."
